The Fest is at the Harrison Center for the arts and is being conducted along with the The Indianapolis Independent Music Festival which will be outside in the Harrison Center Courtyard these 2 events are FREE. John Quincy Adams, 6th President

John Quincy Adams is the son John Adams (2nd President) and his wife Abigail. Before Quincy Adams was President he helped ink the ‘Monroe Doctrine,’ as he was a part of President Monroe’s Cabinet. Interestingly enough he was elected not by means of the Electoral College but through The House of Representatives due to a tie. During his Presidency he tried to advance the education system however his concepts were rejected by Congress. As President, John had a pet alligator and went skinny dipping in the Potomac River on a regular basis. Atta boy John. After losing the next election to Andrew Jackson, QAdams became Congressmen. He became outspoken against slavery at this time. It is said that he knew most of the Founding Fathers and Abraham Lincoln, what a bridge. Finally he was the first President to have his photo taken.

Franklin Pierce

Franklin Pierce was born a mere lad in New Hampshire. He eventually rose to power as the 14th President of the United States (Democrat.)

He is remembered as one of the worst Presidents of all time. I suggest checking out his life as it is rather fascinating. Wikipedia is always a fun choice to read about someone. But let me remind you that it is not “historically accurate” however it still is fun and educational. What is historically accurate anyway?

hello chaps and dames,

The Leo the Fifth staff have been hard at work the past few weeks. This past weekend while at a craft fair in nap town, we ran into the owners and operathello chaps and dames, The Leo the Fifth staff have been hard at work the past few weeks. This past weekend while at a craft fair in nap town, we ran into the owners and operators of a t shirt company out of Chicago. We were able to pick their brains for a while on certain issues in regards to the production of t shirts (mostly regarding specific printing processes and procedures). With the trade secrets that we now have ownership of, we are continuing to move forward with two designs which will ultimately be transformed into t shirts. You can expect to see these shirts for sale by November. As previously reported we will be printing the morning kong shirts on both male and female shirts. Our second design, of which will be unveiled in a couple weeks, is an old staff favorite here at LTF.

In the mean time look for updates about our soon to be launched website. Also, for a good listen check out two new releases from Margot and the Nuclear So and So's at their website, http://www.margotandthenuclearsoandsos.com/. They will be playing a show in Indy on October 17th, if you have the time we suggest that you check them out. My fellow Indianans, we should consider ourselves lucky to have such a fantastic band based here in our midst. They are on Epic Records now and will hopefully be jumping into the hearts and ipods of people all over the world very soon.

Dear Friends of Earth and Beyond,

It is rather easy to make an inappropriate joke about the drawing above. The washing machine could easily say, "By the way you might want to think about cleaning out your lent trap." This phrase, however, is tasteless. Furthermore the lent trap really has little to do with the washing machine. Why would a washing machine care about lent? The only way a "WM" could be frustrated/upset with lent would be if it actually caused the dryer to slow down the drying cycle or if it caused a fire which would seemingly destroy both machines.

Rip it up.

I hope you are all doing well. We have been rather busy at Leo Headquarters as of late. We apologize for staying away for so long. We were stuck in a rather large Turkish Bath, it was most pleasant. Nevertheless, it can be quite frustrating deciding on the correct type and color of a shirt for printing. We at Leo made quite a large blunder on our first purchase of printable shirts, but rest easy my friends as we have learned from our childish ways. We plan on solving this problem and in fact we look forward to doing so. For our first wave of actual shirts we plan on printing two different images, one being ‘Morning Kong,’ and the other, well…we will just keep that a secret locked away in our ultra secure server. Our plan is to have shirts printed and ready for the near future (ETA middle of October.) We appreciate all your patience with us as we are still trying to find our metaphorical ‘sea-legs,’ we anticipate the growth of these limbs very soon.

The beginning….In the late 90's thrift stores were replicating t-shirts for all individuals who graciously sought after their majestic threads. However after the technological scare of Y2K their availability became most infrequent. Like a lost relic of a treasured ancient monarch a good t-shirt was slowly becoming extinct. Through this tragedy Leo The Fifth was born. Not so much in a brute physical sense but most certainly in some metaphysical capacity. It is time my friends for the idea to become a reality. T-shirt glory is our quest and today our journey begins. In forthcoming posts we invite you to converse with us and observe the development of our company/brand and enjoy our blunders and achievements along the way.
